Fundraising
Donations

The Ffestiniog Railway Society is only able to support the Ffestiniog Railway through the generous donations and contributions made by members and supporters. Financial contributions large and small allow the railway to make improvements to the passenger experience, rebuild heritage items and achieve large projects not possible with revenue alone.

Donations can be made by simply sending a cheque to the freepost address below along with a Gift Aid declaration if appropriate:

Online Donations

The FR Society has also teamed up with JustGiving, the UK’s leading online fundraising website, so you can donate and raise funds for us online.  Please use this method if you find it the most convenient. It’s easy to make a single or monthly donation with a credit or debit card online. All you need to do is go to:

Donation Online button

www.justgiving.com/ffestiniograilway/donate

JustGiving reclaims Gift Aid automatically and pays donations to us directly at the end of every week. If you already have a valid Gift Aid declaration in place with the Society you will still be asked to 'Gift Aid' the donation – please say yes. The site is 100% secure, all data is treated as absolutely confidential and totally private donations can be made.

In addition, it’s really easy for you to raise money for us by creating an online fundraising page on JustGiving. It takes just a few minutes and you can collect donations for any sponsored event or appeal. Just click here.

Fundraising pages are just like paper sponsorship forms, except they’re online, so you don’t have to spend time collecting cash and cheques. Just personalise your page with a photo and message and email the web address to all your contacts. Then your friends, family, colleagues and anyone else can make a donation through your page from anywhere in the world.

You can create a fundraising page for absolutely anything. You could get sponsored to run, swim, cycle, get fit, grow a Victorian moustache worthy of a Spooner or pull a carriage across the Cob. You can even create a page in memory of someone or instead of wedding gifts. The only limit is your imagination.
