A small update on the £150,000 rebuilding of Welsh Pony.
The work on the boiler continues with a lot of the external welding complete.
The tricky parts of marrying the various pieces together starts in earnest with fitting the inner firebox. Some of the work requires checks from inside the boiler (not possible when it is tubed…).
The parts for the new tender are alongside the boiler awaiting rivetting work and wheelsets.
