Welsh Pony March Update

The latest update in February showed some views of the loco frames with the new cylinders fitted. Further progress is being made, with slide bars being fitted and valve chest covers machined.

Previous reference has been made to the new tender to be constructed to run with Welsh Pony.
Parts have arrived with the frame construction well underway for the welded chassis. The metalwork for the bodywork has also arrived – it is expected for these to be riveted together.
The collection of parts for the loco continues to grow in a corner of the works, with springs, pistons and rods all seen together.
