New points are being fitted in the main yard at Boston Lodge. These were delivered before Christmas, having been paid for out of a Ffestiniog Railway Society grant.

Following work on both Ladies, the two sisters were reunited for the Christmas week trains, commencing Boxing Day, handling 8-carr trains each day. Including, on 29th December, when the weather conditions were somewhat wintry.

Ex Penrhyn Quarry mainline class Hunslet Blanche has been absent from operations since May 2016 when she was dismantled for the obligatory 10 year boiler inspection and retube. With help at Young Volunteers Week at the beginning of August, Blanche is beginning to look like a loco again.

Continuing progress on the reactivation of Welsh Pony, with a significant milestone of the boiler in the frames. Further funding is required.
