Late afternoon on Good Friday, Blanche headed out from Boston Lodge with 37 slate wagons on tow.
They were on their first outing of the year, giving an opportunity to run a crew familiarisation gravity train. Blanche did the honours of hauling the wagons up to Dduallt.
The train passed Merddin Emrys at Minffordd, Taliesin at Rhiw Goch and Earl of Merioneth at Dduallt. All these trains cleared the section before, at about 6pm, the wagons headed back to Minffordd by gravity.
