New saloon carriage 118, to replace a previous tin car of the same number, has been completed by the carriage works in time to attend Southport Flower Show this coming weekend, 19-21 August.
This continues the FR’s presence at events outside North Wales, to attract more visitors to the railway and the surrounding area.
With the lorry that came to collect the carriage, the two green open bug boxes were returned to the railway, on their way back from representing the railway at Shrewsbury Flower Show last weekend, along with visiting loco Velinheli.
The carriage works have been busy constructing the new carriage, including the quality paint finish, in time for despatch to the show, where it should provide a great focal feature.
