On Friday 10th March, the Ffestiniog Railway’s Wickham Trolley (a self-propelled personnel carrier) moved under its own power.
Returned to the Ffestiniog in 2010 in time for the first Quirks and Curiosities Weekend, it was a stationary exhibit due to various outstanding jobs. It has subsequently been worked on by Brian Faulkener who has taken it away, sorted the engine and made a new (straight) axle, so it now runs true.
The log book says it last ran in 1973!
