The Railway has announced that trains will run again from Monday 20th July. The services will run as far as Tan y Bwlch only, on a prebooked basis. The amended timetable will see six round trips a day to Tan y Bwlch.
Thanks to the incredible work and continuous support of our staff, volunteers and supporters, the railway is awakening from the hibernation with locos now being warmed up and tested and the job of collecting the stock together has begun. On Saturday 11th July, sisters Linda and Blanche were both cleaned and lit up, with Blanche running up to Glan y Pwll to collect carriages from storage.

Additionally, on Friday 10th July, newly restored large England engine Welsh Pony made its first trip to Porthmadog under its own steam in 80 years, as part of its testing programme.

The COVID19 appeal remains open to ensure the railway not just survives this difficult period, but is fully prepared for when normal services can resume.
Full details of the services and how to book are on the website.
