Construction has commenced of the new Outdoor Engineering Workshop in Minffordd Yard.
In February, the Ffestiniog Railway Society confirmed a £235,000 grant to fund the construction of the outdoor engineering workshop for the Permanent Way and Signalling teams, with additional storage. This is part funded by a legacy. The plans can be found here.
The groundwork for the foundations was completed over the Easter weekend, which revealed the scale of the building.
The external contractors have commenced the erection of the steel framing.
